Congratulations – JROTC
Last Saturday, the JROTC Adventure Team competed in the Baldwin Triathlon on Maui. They was a total of 23 teams in the competition.  We earned the third place trophy in two categories:  the all male team and mixed male/female team.  The competition events were the obstacle course, swim relay and two mile run.  The following cadets made-up the all male team: Joe Blair, Kleiff Pascual, Kyle Jimenez, and Christian Perdue and the mixed team consisted of Jonah Plemer, Jennifer Mata, Shawna Duhigg, and Jameson Macadamia. Congratulations to the JROTC Adventure Team for bringing home some hardware and representing yourselves, your families, the Army JROTC program and Kapa’a High School with great pride.  Hooah!  1/3

Winter Ball payments and contracts have been extended to Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Seniors interested in attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa next school year  - You should be attending the Manoa Experience scheduled for Sunday, December 5 at the Kauai Beach Resort from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm.  Discover the many opportunities that the University of Hawaii at Manoa has to offer.  Hear an overview of the university, presentations on admissions, financial aid, and residential life and insights from a faculty member and a current student.  They need an accurate count of how many people will be attending, so if you are planning to attend this event, you need to RSVP by November 17.  See your counselor for the website and information to provide.

Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors
Just  a reminder about Registration  -  1) keep working on your registration form, 2) get the necessary signatures, 3) choose wisely, 4) make an appointment with your counselor for advising as needed, and 5) make sure your form is complete before turning it in to your period 1 teacher. 2/3

Teams from our elementary and middle schools will be competing for top awards and berths into the State FIRST Lego Competition on Oahu. This event is sponsored in partnership with the Kauai Economic Development Board and the Kauai Complex Area. Great to see what students are able to create as they'll be entering high school in a few short years!
