Kapaa High School's PSAT (Preliminary SAT test) is scheduled for Saturday, October 16 from 8:00 am - 11:15 am. It is scheduled only once a year and by chance it falls on our Homecoming Day. Therefore, it is especially important for everyone to come on time so we can finish on time and be ready for Homecoming. The PSAT is open to Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen. The cost is $14. You will receive a PSAT Prep Booklet/Study Guide to help you with your preparation. Sign ups will begin on Monday, September 13 during non classroom time in the Counselor's Office. Seating is limited so it is on a first come first served. We highly recommend our Juniors who are thinking of attending a four year college to sign up, in order to have you even better prepared to take your first SAT's during the Spring Semester.

SCIENCE (SERVICE, MEDICINE & MATH (S2M2)
S2M2 (Science, Service, Medicine, and Mentoring) is a program that will welcome, stimulate, teach and assist you if you are interested in careers in science and medicine. It is free and runs over fall break at Kauai Veterans Center. This will look great on your college application and really give you a boost in your future pursuits. Interested students come by and get an application in B203 from Ms. Stuart.

Do you like kids? Have compassion to be a friend? If this is you, you may want to consider becoming a big brother or big sister to a kid who is in need of a friend. Spanish club will be holding its first Informational Meeting on Wednesday , September 15, during lunch in D-202, Señora Rapozo's Room. The Spanish Club offers students the opportunity to interact with each other while enjoying a variety of fun activities. It is open to all students interested in the Hispanic Culture. We welcome new members and their ideas! Students need not be taking Spanish in order to join.
