Updates - Week of December 12th

Congratulations to both Joe Ward and Lillian Wadahara as they will be retiring at the end of this month. This new chapter in their lives is well deserved and know they will enjoy that special lifestyle doing whatever they choose to do! ENJOY!!!

Extended Learning Opportunity: Reminder to submit names of students being recommended for extended learning time during the winter break to Doris. Due to the short time frame, please provide names as soon as possible so parents can be contacted. Interested personnel who would like to tutor are asked to check with Doris.

Revised Bell Schedule: Great to hear that there was strong consensus to move toward new 7 period bell schedule. Want to acknowledge the members of the committee who worked hard in helping to facilitate this process. Appreciate our faculty in having to go through this process as I am very cognizant of the many conversations that needed to happen. Bottom-line, the decisions that we make are based on what's best for students.

With the last four days of instruction prior to the winter break, please continue to be vigilant in your instruction and monitoring of students. Evident that students are getting more active and that's where having that solid consistent bell-to-bell instruction is critical. Confident that we can count on everyone's support.

Have a safe winter break! Enjoy the rest of 2011 and may 2012 be filled with wonderful blessings!
