The Hawaii Youth Conservation Corp will be here Today Thursday, Jan 26th to do their presentation during 5th and 6th period. Students may sign up for either period, at the counseling office. HYCC Summer Youth Program provides "PAID" environmental internships for Hawaii's youth. (Must be a Junior or 17 years of age to participate.) Students may earn up to $1,132. qualified students can also receive three college credits through UH Manoa.

Anyone 21 years of age may also apply to be a Team Leader. Team Leaders receive approx. up to $3,500 and a $1,132 educational ward.

SENIORS:
Seniors - Need Financial help for College??? Come to "College Goal Sunday" this Sunday, Jan. 29, at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School Cafeteria at 1:00PM. Get help for you and your Parents, with your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) See your counselor for more information and what you should bring with you.

Seniors please don't forget about your PTP requirement for graduation. Please see Aunty Joan for a pass. If you don't remember if you've finished all the assignments please come in and double check, I am sure you don't want to find out at graduation practice!!!

SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS:
The Hawaii Rotary Youth Leadership Award will be hosting their annual Leadership Camp at the YMCA Camp Naue on March 23 - 25, 2012. If any Sophomores and or Juniors are interested please pick up an application and more information at the Counselor's office.

CLUB:
Spanish Club meeting today at lunch. D205 Thursday, January 26, 2012. Year Book picture and tee shirt vote, please attend this brief but important meeting!!!

Interact Club Meeting Thursday, Jan 26 at 12:10 in the Chorus Room. Lots of things to sgin up for!! Please don't be late. If you have any questions please see AuntyJoan at the Counselor's office.

SPORTS:
All boys interested in playing on this year's JV or Varsity Volleyball teams:
If you are interested in playing Boys JV or Varsity Volleyball this year, you must send an e-mail to kapaavolleyball@gmail.com. In the e-mail, please include your first and last name, Grade and phone number. Deadline for sending your e-mail is Wednesday, January 25. Practices will begin the week of January 30. In order to practice and try-out, you will need a current physical and parent consent form. See Mr. Gonsalves or one of the athletic trainers for forms.


To all interested athletes that would like to participate on this years Boys and Girls Track and Field team, sign-ups will be held this week during morning and lunch recess in Coach Paleka's and Coach Keawe's Room lower campus S-106 and S-103. We will be handing out important papers and information about the up coming season. You will need to have a current physical and parent consent form to practice.
