KAPA’A HIGH ALL:
Special Assemblies: Reminder that there will be two special assemblies on Thursday, March 1st, addressing ethics in a digital world entitled "Digital Tattoos". Guest speaker is FBI Special Agent, Arnold Laanui Jr and this is sponsored by PCNC and Title I. Assembly schedule: Period 2 - Grades 9 and 12; and Period 3 - Grades 10 and 11. Students are to report to their classes first to check in with their teacher and teachers will accompany their students to the gym.

A special evening presentation @6:00 pm @Library is also planned for parents from all of the East complex schools.

Foodland's Shop for Higher Education update: Keep Shopping at Foodland to help us earn points. Please designate Kapaa High School (7545) as the school of your choice. Here is the top 10 schools: 1) Kahuku - 867,214 points, 2) Lahainaluna - 822,890 points, 3) Maui High - 688, 113 points, 4) Hilo High - 656,279 points, 5) Baldwin High - 626,851 points, 6) Kapaa High - 608,230 points, 7) Honokaa High and Intermedaite, 8) King Kekaulike, 9) Leilehua and 10) Campbell. The application forms for this scholarship is available in the Counselors Office. Please read and follow all of the instructions and deadlines attached to the forms.

SENIORS:
Several reminders:
• Scholarships keep coming in to our office and into the Scholarship File. Come and check out what is available.
• College applications - if you have not completed yours yet, please make an appointment with your counselor.
• College acceptance letters - if you have received your acceptance letter, please bring it in to your counselor so we can xerox it and keep it for documentation purposes.
• Scholarships - if you have received any scholarships from your college or elsewhere, please bring in these letters too so we can xerox it and keep it for documentation purposes.
• Kauai Community College - if you plan to attend KCC next year, or any of the other local community colleges, check with the Counseling Office on how to schedule your COMPASS Placement Test.
• On line courses - if you are a senior doing on line courses, please continue to work on it and meet with your counselor for updates. You need to complete the courses by the scheduled deadline.

• Anyone interested in Massage Therapy classes? New classes starting in April with the Aloha Lomi Massage Academy. Come to the Counselor's office for more information

• The Hawaii Tokai University in Honolulu will be on campus to see any interested students on Feb 29, Wednesday, during 2nd period. Please sign up at the Counselor's office.

CLUB:
HOSA Club meeting on Wednesday (2/29) during lunch in Ms. Kitamura's room R102. Come pick up your shirt, sign up for the college exploration trip and the end of the year banquet.

Thursday Spanish Club Meeting at lunch. Please attend in D205. Further tee shirt discussion needed!
